Golf NB Announces 2026 Provincial Coaching Team: Ryan Kingston and Kristi Roach to Lead Junior Boys and Girls Programs
Golf New Brunswick (Golf NB) is proud to announce the appointment of Ryan Kingston as the Provincial Boys Coach and Kristi Roach as the Provincial Girls Coach for the 2026 season. Together, this dynamic coaching duo brings an unparalleled level of experience, passion, and commitment to developing the next generation of junior golfers in New Brunswick.
Ryan Kingston, a PGA of Canada Class A Professional, brings extensive coaching expertise and a proven record of success in player development. He previously served as the Golf NB Boys Coach from 2009 to 2014 and represented New Brunswick as a coach at the Canada Games in both 2013 and 2022. Most recently, Kingston led the 2025 U15 Provincial Team and Team Canada at the MJT International Championship in Australia, showcasing his ability to develop athletes for competition at the highest levels. He also served as the Head Coach of the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Golf Team in 2022. Ryan’s long-standing dedication to advancing junior golf and his leadership both provincially and nationally make him an invaluable addition to Golf NB’s coaching program.
Kristi Roach, a former 3-time Golf NB Provincial Junior Champion and Provincial Amateur Champion, brings both playing excellence and instructional expertise to her new role. A standout NCAA golfer at Grand Valley State University, Roach helped her team achieve a runner-up finish at the 2005 NCAA Division II National Championship before serving as Assistant Coach at the university from 2006–2007. Since returning home to New Brunswick, she has served as the Director of Instruction at Hampton Golf Club (2022–2025) and earned several distinguished awards, including PGA of Atlantic Canada Teacher of the Year (2024) and recognition as one of the Top 50 Operation 36 Coaches Worldwide in both 2024 and 2025. Roach is also a finalist for the 2025 PGA of Atlantic Canada Teacher of the Year and Junior Leader of the Year, underscoring her continued excellence and impact on the game.
Together, Kingston and Roach bring a blend of elite coaching experience, proven success, and deep passion for growing the game. Their combined leadership will play a key role in inspiring and elevating New Brunswick’s top junior golfers as they prepare to compete on provincial, national, and international stages.
“We’re thrilled to have Ryan and Kristi leading our provincial programs,” said Jake Ward, Golf NB Director of Golf Services. “Their collective experience as both players and coaches will provide our juniors with the mentorship, technical development, and competitive opportunities needed to take Golf NB to new heights.”
Both coaches share a unified vision for junior golf in New Brunswick—one that emphasizes skill development, character building, and long-term athlete growth.
“We’re both incredibly excited for this opportunity,” said Roach and Kingston in a joint statement. “New Brunswick has so much young talent, and we’re eager to work together to create an environment where players can thrive, compete, and love the game of golf.”
With the 2026 season on the horizon, Golf NB looks forward to an inspiring new chapter for junior golf in the province—one led by two of Atlantic Canada’s most respected professionals.
