[EN] – In July of last year, Darren Roach secured the 2024 NB Men’s Amateur Championship with a final score of -7 after three rounds.This win earned Darren a spot in the 2025 Omnium Explore NB Open for the PGA Tour Americas. Roach looks to put his skills on display against the pros and build off the momentum he gained last year at the 2024 NB Men’s Amateur.
“I’m very excited to test my game against the pros at this years PGA Americas event in Mactaquac. I know the course very well… and after watching last years event my goal is to play the weekend which will take two very good rounds of golf to do so. I’d like to thank Golf NB and the Government of New Brunswick for giving me this opportunity.”

The decision to offer a spot in the field to the province’s top amateur is part of a larger initiative to grow the game locally and inspire the next generation of golfers. [FR] – En juillet dernier, Darren Roach a remporté le Championnat amateur masculin du Nouveau-Brunswick 2024 avec un pointage final de -7 après trois rondes. Cette victoire a valu à Darren une place à l’Omnium Explore NB Open 2025 du Circuit de la PGA des Amériques. Roach compte mettre ses compétences à l’épreuve contre les professionnels et poursuivre sur sa lancée de l’an dernier au Championnat amateur masculin 2024 du Nouveau-Brunswick.
“Je suis très enthousiaste à l’idée de mettre mon jeu à l’épreuve contre les professionnels lors de l’événement de la PGA Americas de cette année à Mactaquac. Je connais très bien le parcours… et après avoir regardé l’événement de l’an dernier, mon objectif est de jouer la fin de semaine, ce qui nécessitera deux très bonnes rondes de golf. J’aimerais remercier Golf NB et le gouvernement du Nouveau-Brunswick de m’avoir donné cette occasion.
